The University of Canterbury R&D team lead by Dr. Brown has attracted international attention and has successfully passed rigorous international scrutiny to qualify for inclusion into one of the highly contested Centres Of Research Excellence recently funded by the NZ Government.
The MacDiarmid Institute is named for Alan MacDiarmid, New Zealand’s most recent Nobel Laureate. NCD takes advantage of extensive “know-how” in place at the University of Canterbury, along with contracted access to the University based research facilities. These facilities have been dramatically enhanced by provision of multi-million dollar equipment through the MacDiarmid Insitute.
