Nanotechnology is poised to revolutionise our way of life. It is an enabling technology that will have impacts across virtually all business sectors. There is little if any commercially available product that currently allows manufacturing of nanoscale electronic devices with dimensions below 100 nanometre (nm). Industries working in and applying nanotechnology currently use a “top-down” approach to fabrication, applying reliable and highly developed technologies, and there are a number of “start-up” companies working on “bottom – up” approaches. Nano Cluster Devices’ technology breakthrough utilises the best of the existing “top-down” fabrication technologies and integrates these with a novel cluster assembly methodology that results in an entirely new approach to Nanotechnology.
